– Mr. Smith founded and served as President of The BENTLEY Companies, a leading Merger & Acquisition firm specializing in the sales of mid-market companies. He has owned and operated a number of small and mid-sized Florida businesses. He has spent over 20 years in the corporate environment as a Vice President of W.R.Grace & Co., and as Vice President of Macmillan Publishing Co., Inc. Included in his corporate experience at Macmillan was the overseeing of several dozen mergers and acquisitions of private and public companies. Mr. Smith is qualified as an expert witness, taught Merger & Acquisition, and Valuation courses at Golden Gate University’s Graduate School of Finance. He founded the Florida Business Brokers Association in 1981 and is a principal of Carlyle Financial Group.

– Co-founder of Carlyle Financial Group. Mr. Stebbins has been assisting buyers and sellers of small businesses for over 25 years. He is past state president of the Florida Business Brokers Association and is currently a state officer of Business Brokers of Florida. Mr. Stebbins is active in several professional organizations including the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the M&A Source. He is recognized as an accomplished Business Appraiser and was recently honored as a life member of the International Business Appraisers (IBA). He has also been instrumental in developing a national Multiple Listing Service for business brokers and sellers of small businesses.

– During the past 10 years, Ira has been representing buyers and sellers of small businesses throughout South Florida. Prior to moving to Florida from New York, he survived several acquisitions when his employer Water Services Labs was acquired by Olin Matheson, who was subsequently acquired by Ashland Oil Company. Ira holds a degree in Chemistry from Monmouth College and an MBA from Iona College. He has done post graduate work in Environmental Health Engineering.

– Ms. Sullivan started her own medical supply business in Michigan in 1987. During the next nine years she managed all aspects of a growing a business; including raising capital from private investors and launching a Medicare Billing System. After building the Company’s sales to $3 million, she sold the Company to Royal Care of America. After selling the business, Ms Sullivan, successively, worked as a Consultant to the President of American Medserve Corporation, held the position of Executive Analyst at George S. May Corporation, and was an Independent Consultant to companies in the medical supply field. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Lynn University.

– Ed has over 30 years experience in technical, sales, engineering, and senior management positions in the chemical, diversified manufacturing and paper industries. He was President of an industrial gas company built primarily by acquisition of privately owned middle market companies encompassing over 80 manufacturing and distribution locations in the United States. He also served, as CEO of a public diversified manufacturing company that was grown entirely by acquisition of privately owned middle market companies. Ed understands the business and emotional issues the selling owner faces during the sales process.
